Reneged on free oil changes .

North Plainfield Nissan - Reneged on free oil changes .

I bought my rogue in 2015. One of the selling points was free oil changes and car wash for life of car.

It is stated on my contract. They have a new owner now but are still doing business as North Plainfield Nissan and will not honor the contract.

I find that to be very shortsighted on their part. I will be bringing my rogue to my local mechanic for any maintenance and will NEVER buy another car from them.

I am having a similar issue except they told me if I find the contract they have to honor it. I bought the car seven years ago, I no longer have the contract.

Interesting that you have your contract and they still won’t honor it. doesn’t seem like a very good business model I certainly won’t be doing business there again and will tell everyone my experience

They must have all the business they need. No one has even contacted me to resolve this except for them calling me every week to reschedule my oil change. I tell the girl I am very unhappy with them and still no call back from a supervisor.

Bait and switch- DO NOT GO THERE

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I had been in contact with this dealer for a few days, and even though I read the bait and switch reviews, I figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. I called to make sure the car I wanted was still there and available. I spoke with Elizabeth and she assured me it was because I was driving an hour to get there. When I arrived another salesman said that she stepped out even though we had an appointment and he said he could help me. I asked to see the car and he said oh that car sold an hour ago. This is the exact sennario that was on the cargurus reviews so I couldn't believe they were going to pull this BS with me. I asked to see the paperwork on the car if it was just sold, but they could not produce any- why? Because the car never existed in the first place! Neither did Elizabeth because the other salesman said she worked out of the NY office- even though she was supposed to meet us at the dealership. Everything they said to us was a complete lie and when I called them out on it they told more lies- DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP! EVERYTHING IS A LIE!!!!

I can't believe this place is still in business! I spent a day of my vacation, and two people with me took the day off. Knew what I wanted. Spent THREE HOURS purchasing a car from "Anthony" (not his real name, as I remember working with him many years ago. Guess he's hiding from debts). A car they didn't have but showed us ON PAPER was at one of the other of "three dealerships we own" only 8miles away. Pinged my credit, put a deposit down, signed papers, shook hands, got a copy of the vin, and went to a celebratory lunch since they promised they would have the car delivered to them in three MORE hours. Thought I was the owner of a new Murano! About an hour later received a phone call they COULD NOT PRODUCE THE CAR I SIGNED TO BUY. Wanted to bait and switch me to a different car they would deliver "in a couple days" located in another state, sight unseen, AFTER I paid for it. Unacceptable. Everyone here claims to be a manager "Spike", "Robson", "Mike", an overweight unpleasant man overdue for a heart attack who thinks rape jokes are funny, they're all "managers". Some little Napoleon complex *** named "Shawn", also claiming to be a manager, actually asked me to step outside to FIGHT HIM. I'm a female. STAY AWAY from these crooked tough guys!

FREE OIL CHANGES FOR LIFE OF CAR

Long story short I shopped around for a new car found some good deals and because N Plainfield offered free oil changes for life and I live and Plainfield I decided to buy from them a 2010 Altima Hybrid. I told the sales men up front that I drive a lot and I could save a lot of money on oil changes and he agreed.

Not once did he mention u only get 4 oil changes a year only because that was not the case until 3 years after purchase. I have 97000 miles in 3 years in not once have I had to paid for an oil change until my last visit when they told me you only get 4 per year that's funny do the math 97k/3k to be fair when car was new I was changing oil between 4k and 5k miles I have about 6 to 7 oil changes a year. Now they tell me only 4 oil changes a year so they want to go back on there word after 3 years I don't think so I will not let them get away with this I will make this a big news story if I have to. while waiting for my so called last free oil change for the year I met another customer who drives just as much as I do in they told him the same thing in the first words to come out of his mouth was exactly what came out of mine I was never told only 4 oil changes a year.

So I guess they lost another customer over what amounts to 2 or 3 more oil changes less then $200 which they make up on 6k 15k 45k 60k services were they charge hundreds of dollars and oil changes are part of this service which oil changes are free in not deducted in these services.

I don't have any other problems with dealer but don't tell me something in 3 years later change in then have the nerve to tell me that was the deal all along when I can prove I have had more the 6 or 7 oil changes a year for 3 years.

Transfer case leaking in replaced transmission

Took my 2003 Murano in for dead pedal and hesitation. They said it needed a new transmission and it was covered because they were having trouble with them. Still did not fix problem and charged over $600 for crank sensor. Now it is leaking transmission fluid and still driving the same. They say that I need a new transfer case and want to charge over $2000. The car never leaked a drop of fluid before. They don't want to take any responsibility for letting a careless mechanic doing a bad job replacing trans and causing leak. BAD!! BUY ELSEWHERE!!!!

Unprofessional and Rude

We were very disappointed in the way that Mike Belcore treated us as customers who purchased a vehicle at North Planfield Nissan. He is disrespectful, unprofessional and does not exemplify the customer service that Nissan prides itself on. Mike was devious and not transparent which we found unacceptable, but furthermore he was rude and disrespectful in the way he communicated with a Nissan "valued customer". I would not recommend North Planfield Nissan after the experience we had with Mike. Unfortunately, it is clear that Mike does not value his customers, his employees or the Nissan reputation. Go to Hillside Nissan which is 15 minutes away, we will next time!

Rib off people / Fraud

North Plain field Nissan Rip me off when i financed 2006 Hyundai Elantra with 28,000 mileages. I was initially agreed for $8,872.75 with all the hidden fee along with the car price( car price was 6300.00). After spending 5 hours and reviewing all the paper work, they took me to the finance department to sign the contract. I was seven months pregnant and i was really tried, even before i sign the paper work i asked them why the total amount shows $12,654.96 since the car price was $8,872.75. they told me that the total price after 5 years of total interest form the bank.I didn't ask more then that and i signed it. After a month i received bank statement saying that the balance due 12,654.96 , i called the bank i explain to them but they told me i have talk to the dealer.I went there and they were very disrespect towards me. Told me that i am *** since i signed the contract.( this time i was 8 months pregnant) I was pretty much upset and frustrated. I was mentally upset few months due to this fact. I felt betrayed and disappointed. They are bunch of liars. Please think twice before buy anything from them.

Sold 3 cars and never got paid

Worked for North Plainfield Nissan for week and a half. Sold three cars and never got paid $200 weekly salary plus commission for sold cars. Those bastards had the audacity to send me a $200 W-2 for 2005 even though I never received a penny. We couldn't even tell costumers about the specials Nissan was having.Dan and Mike are the lowest of the low.I'm sorry I never took those bastards to court.Worst Dealer I ever dealt with. They lie about free oil changes too. They want people to pay hundreds of dollars for service first.

Rip off Service

I had purchased a car at this dealer 25 months to the day. Only because I was recommended by a friend who had purchased here. I scheduled a service for a free oil change that came with the purchase. I indicated the mileage and confirmed the last prior oil change with them. I also requested the free wash and tire rotation. I dropped the car off the night prior and called in the morning to confirm the time the car would be ready for pick up. Here is where the nonsense started..... I was then told that the car was due for 30K/ 24 month service, for $495. Which includes: oil change w/ filter (which I was getting anyway) replace air filter rotate tires and balance coolant system flush/ refill replace transmission/cvt fluid inspect and adjust brakes flush brake fluid replace wiper blades inspect suspension and chassis Top off all under hood fluids perform engine oil additives inspect door and hood/ trunk hinges inspect tires/ wear inspect exhaust system Also, replace in cabin microfilter, for $89.-- I was a little hesitant at first due to price. I had just received a coupon from the dealer for $100 off 30/45/60/75K/90/105K Service. So I was expecting to pay $395 + 89 for microfilter for $484 + tax. No problem... I was told that this takes about 3 hours to complete. I called in to find out when the vehicle would be ready and then informed I was misquoted because the coolant service was not included and the price was $595. The price of $495 was already discounted. So basically, the price already included the $100 off. Here is where I totally lost my trust with these guys. Because until I mentioned the coupon it was never discussed. Another thing here is they offer free loaner car with service. Now this is the second time that they offer service after the fact that the car is already dropped off. At this point it is too late to get a loaner car. So I am already stuck without a vehicle... I balked at the charge and was explained that the err was discussed with the service manager and the best they could do would be to charge for the in cabin filter and not the labor for $50. They indicated that they had the best price in the area (specifically route 22). At this point is when I done further research and found out from Nissan and another dealer that the in cabin filter should be included in the service. When I went to pick up the car this was all discussed on what should be included and what I was originally quoted. After Dan further discussed this with his manager (over the phone because he was off for the day) they came up with a new price where I was not directly charged for the filter but the price did not include the discount with coupon. In conclusion after all this and finding out that the in cabin filter was included I was expecting to pay $395 + tax. Bottom line was charged $455 + tax. Even more the receipt does not even indicate the correct service as it states 15K service that I REQUESTED. Here is another change, where I did not in the first place request anything but oil change and rotation. I do not ever plan on ever going back to this dealership - not even for the free oil change. I do not even trust that they would change the oil.

I guess it was my fault they switched the price after I informed them I had a $100 coupon.

Guest

those services are usually recommended not mandatory. But they will not service your car without you giving them the ok.

Clearly you gave them the ok to service the car, and they always go over the price before having anything done to your car. Clearly this was your fault for not communicating or not understanding what the service guys told you.

Bait and Switch

After I test drove a '2009' car and agreed to lease it they replaced the car with a demo car. My salesman's car. They denied doing it, I went back the very same day, saying this is not the car I test drove. They denied it, I cannot let this go and I am going to sue the car dealership for this deceitful and unethical behavior. The day after receiving the "2009" the low on fluids light came on. If anyone wants to assist me and stop them from getting away with this contact this site. I have informed several sources for personal protection.

I leased a veh agreement made with sales guy and sales manager signed some papers. I also traded in my car which I had already taken the plates of off and started moving my stuff into the new veh.

I then had to go see the finance guy who attempted to change the price that was agreed too! Read over the contract carefully, they are full of ***. I got home and realized I had a warranty added on for the last 3 months of my lease for over 700.00 bucks.

I went back to the dealer within 2 hrs of getting the car, they did fix the problem but it should have never came up to begin with! I will never get a veh from this place again.

They sold me a defective car which lasted all of 10 minutes. And is running from my phone calls.. What a dirty dealer

Puchased pre owned pathfinder 1 month ago nothing but mechanical issues since I got it

I purchased a "certified pre-owned " 2006 Pathfinder from this dealership. I was told it went through two rigoruous 90 point inspections before I purchased it. I was also told they had just put a brand new battery in it. The day I bought it, I was driving it home 10 mins from the dealer and the "service engine soon" light came on. I called my salesman the next day and he told me it was probably just a loose gas cap and I could drive it that way. The owners manual said the light should go off on its own after 2-3 trips if it was in fact the gas cap causing the light to go on. The light did not go off it stayed on for two weeks straight. I only had the car for two weeks and I came out one morning and it wouldn't start. I popped the hood and saw the battery terminals were covered in battery acid and corrosion. We called the dealer and spoke to the sales manager Laura Flores, she said the car was inspected and she was not sure how that could have happened and to bring it back to the dealer. Two days later the car wouldn't start again and then again that night. In additon to this I was never called about my plates or registration being ready to pick up and my temp plate was set to expire. I received a call from the finance guy Arnie, asking me when I was going to pay my COD balance of $500 for DMV fees. I was never told about any balance and when I checked my sales receipt dmvadmin costs were already in the final price. It seems they were trying to get me to pay more money on top of that. He asked me to fax him a copy of my sales order. I did so and then he said I didnt owe the $500 it was their mistake. No apology either. I brought the car in to be looked at and the battery terminal cables were so rotted they had to be replaced. This was the reason the service engine light went on. This was a visible problem so the car clearly was NEVER inspected and I was lied to. I also found out that day that my registration was marked as costing only $4.50 and it expired in 3 wks. I had to renew it myself pay $76 on top of what I paid the dealer $350 just to transfer my plates and to top it off the inspection had to be done in 2 days because they held my plates without telling me for so long. Stating I owed them money I did not owe. I have now had the car a month and it started to make a very very loud screeching sound while driving it. I brought it to Midas to have the brakes checked and was told the rear brakes were completely worn, the pads had next to nothing left and the rotors were shot I had to $300 to get the brakes fixed. When we called the dealer again citing the car was supposed to have been inspected why was all this not taken care of we spoke to Paul and he was very nasty and did not care to help. Do not go to this dealer. I had a terrible experience and still have issues with the car they sold me for $20,000. And I have only had it a month. When I bought the car they seemed very nice but once I was out the door I had nothing but problems with it and no help getting them fixed. They wanted nothing to do with me once I signed the paperwork.

North Plainfield Nissan High pressure sales and fraud.

I made an appointment to North Plainfield Nissan to get a "free oil change" that was promised with my lease. When my wife went to drop off the car they told her that I was required to get a $300 service package because I was at 30000 miles and that if I didnt get the service done that I would be in violation of my lease. She got nervous and approved. She tried to call me but i was not immediately around. when I found out I called them back and they told me that they already did the work. I mentioned that I was only supposed to get an oil change. They said that my wife asked them for the 30000 package. I complained to the manager about this. Then they told me that I could not charge it on my card that since I complained they would only take check or cash. I am really pissed off at this classless dealership. they are a bunch of lying ***.
